There are many places where you can purchase glamorous things at reasonable prices by shopping smartly in manufacturers' outlet stores nearby the lake.

Leaving La Darbia, early in the morning or perhaps on a day when the weather is bad, it is easy to get to various different store outlets situated in the area: ours is a rich, productive region which boasts industries of high standards, designer items and luxury goods.

If you follow directions for Valsesia, you will head towards the woollen and cashmere district, where there are factories of worldwide repute. Loro Piana, for example, is a renowned company and has a luxury outlet in Romagnano Sesia where there is a wide range of overcoats, jumpers and accessories both for men and women.

Herno is another excellent brand produced in our area, situated on Lake Maggiore in the locality of Lesa: it is an Italian trademark synonymous with luxury, top quality and elegance. The company outlet is a modern, well stocked premises, which presents fine outerwear notably its famed raincoats, splendid trench coats and soft down jackets.

It is well worth your while to pay a visit to the Ermenegildo Zegna a renowned Italian brand and important reference point in mens' fashions. These famous woollen mills were founded in Trivero in 1910 and gained immediate recognition for their high quality textiles. Many elegant and casual items of clothing are still to be found on display in the Oleggio outlet at reasonable prices; these include jackets, shirts, ties, overcoats and professionally tailored suits.

Instead, Omegna is the homeland of household goods; companies which made history for the Cusio region, such as Bialetti, Alessi, Lagostina, Piazza are all located in the area. The store outlets, all to be found within a radius of a few kilometres, also sell discounted lines and seconds, from stainless steel saucepans, the famous Italian mocha coffee machines, small electrical appliances and cutlery, to original design and solid wood accessories.

Years ago Bassetti opened a sales outlet in Rescaldina, towards Milan, close to the historic factory which produces household linens, distinguished by bright colours, lively patterns and high quality. You could really splash out here between sheets, quilts, blankets, wall hangings, rugs, towels and bathrobes.

Then there is the huge centre in Vicolungo known as The Style Outlets, which consists of 150 shops selling prestigious Italian and international fashion brands: as well as shop windows there are leisure services and a play area for children and at times there are cultural events and shows free of charge.
