There are those who are not satisfied with a lazy and relaxing holiday, but prefer to experiment with more daring forms of entertainment and immerse themselves in the green woods with an explorer's spirit. Trying electrifying experiences is possible, just a stone's throw from our La Darbia, thanks to some amusement parks where adventure and nature are perfectly combined.
If you are the wimpy sort and want to savour a strong emotion flying at 120 km per hour suspended from a steel wire, then you absolutely must try the Lago d'Orta ZIPline, the new frontier of adrenaline-pumping fun. This modern cableway allows you to dive into the blue, floating in the air but remaining suspended above the surface of the lake.

It works like this: you travel to the finish line by car, take your harness, go up to the start point with a comfortable shuttle, hook up to the cable and glide for 45 seconds in complete safety, while an automatic system ensures gentle braking at the end of the route. There is the possibility to fly alone or in pairs, to glide horizontally on your stomach or to maintain an upright posture while making evolutions that defy the wind.

On the other hand, for those who prefer total immersion in the woods, I suggest the Le Pigne Adventure Park frequented by adults and children who love to try their hand at adrenaline-pumping activities in the heart of unspoiled nature. Various acrobatic routes allow you to literally "fly" among the trees thanks to a system of ropes, Tibetan bridges and walkways, tilting and tyrolienne beams on which to exercise your balance, up to 'conquer' a panoramic platform, immersed in the tops of the trees twelve meters high.
It really feels like being a child again: you play without a care, you get excited, you put yourself to the test together with the whole family thanks to safe structures and the help of trained staff. And then you can also treat yourself to a delicious picnic in the equipped areas or climb up to the giant bench located in a panoramic position.

Also Alpyland, an amusement park located on the summit of Mottarone, represents an amazing opportunity for recreation. The main attraction is the bobsleigh track on rails, which can be used both in summer and in winter, which winds all the way downhill but at adjustable speed. Two-seater toboggans are equipped with a braking system that can be easily operated by the passengers to accelerate or limit the speed. The route winds its way for 1200 metres, following the mountain slope with curves, bumps and changes in slope, along an electrifying track with a breathtaking panorama.
